jackers is a funny little boy.

he likes to look at tractors.

he likes to sit in them.

but he doesn't want to go riding with nate.

he says it takes soooo long.

last time we went we had to take a dvd player for him. pretty sure nate thought we were a bunch of city slickers. oh well.

anyway when we go out with nate jack has to pack his "robot repairman suitcase."

he puts one hotwheel in it and calls it good.

it's just funny to me when we go out to meet nate. i'm in my flip flops trying to walk through the fields and jack is screaming because there's flies.

i bet we look pathetic.

in the mornings i sometimes sit at the window and watch nate.

mmmmm...there is just something about a guy who drives a pick up

farmer was in a wedding yesterday. he had to wear a tux and was less than thrilled about it.

he's a jeans and t-shirt type of guy.

he cleans up real nice though

i kinda like him. a lot.

jack has been hearing about nate's race cars for months. he's constantly saying, "i wanna watch nate race!" we were both finally able to watch him.

i was worried that jack would get bored and want to leave. but, he was a champ. he played in the dirt all. day. long.

he loved it.

when it was nate's turn to race jack was excited. every time nate would go around the track jack would give him a thumb's up.

jack loved going to the races.

jack thought it was pretty cool to help push nate's car out.

jack came out of the bathroom with a long piece of toilet paper trailing from his bum

the other day was big one for jack

nate took off his training wheels

he did not like falling off...it was quite dramatic

this was actually pretty funny

jack didn't want to get back on his bike

he was done trying

but nate talked to him and jack ended up giving it one more try

he got back on and did pretty good until he realized nate let go of his seat
then in slow motion jack stood up and jumped off the bike

i bought jackers a new suit for church several weeks ago. i was kind of saving it for easter sunday but decided to let him give it a test run last sunday. the jacket apparently itched him. figures. but, he was so excited when i put the tie on him.

jack: i'm a guy now, mom?!?!

me: yeah, you're a guy! neat huh?!

jack: yeah, i'm almost a daddy.

me: uh no, no you're not. that will be a while.

jack: oh but i'm a guy!

nate went home today

jackers and i miss him

as i was trying to get jack to go to sleep tonight he told me he needed to talk to nate for just a moment (moment-it's the word of the week)

i let him call his buddy

jack: nate, you know i love you. i miss you.

i can't possibly describe how happy it makes me to hear him say that to nate.

so i know i have been missing in action for the past little while

we went to dave and busters for dinner and jack kept calling it nate and monsters
