Me: Jack, it's time for bed. Go pick out 2 books to read. Just 2 books tonight.

Jack: 2 books okay! I get them, mom!

I skipped pages.

I'm bragging...cause I can. Jack really does amaze me. I watch him color sometimes and I am amazed at how well he stays inside the lines. He's only 2 and he does a really good job.

Baby Puppy

Jack has never been into stuffed animals. But, recently he has been in love with this puppy I got for him a long time ago. He calls him Baby Puppy. He has also become attached to Daddy Shark...it was his dad's shark when he was a little guy. They have to come with us everywhere. Seriously, it's like I have 3 kids. Well, Baby Puppy was v.e.r.y dirty. I told Jack I needed to give it a bath and put it in the washer. We had a full blown melt down. He cried, "Momma, no! Baby Puppy be scared in the washer. He will cry, mom." He ran away with the puppy. When it came time to go to bed we couldn't find Baby Puppy. I was in panic mode. I called the neighbors and asked them to check their house for this puppy. No luck. With tears and a lot of kisses Jack went to sleep. After I got him into bed I was on a mission. I was going to find that dumb thing.

Guess where I found it? Yeah, little stinker hid it!
(I don't know how to rotate the picture)

I gave Baby Puppy a bath and laid him down with Jack. I was Jack's hero the next morning. "MOM! THANK YOU FIND MY PUPPY!"

Name Change

I've been contemplating changing Jacks name for some time now. Not a big change. Just from Jack Daniel to Daniel Jack. But, little boy had other plans. He told me this morning that his name is Shaggy and mine is Daphne.

Gonna Be A Long Day

The first thing that usually comes out of Jack's mouth in the mornings is, "Good Morning, Mom!" However, this morning, he told me this, "I don't want to be good, mom!" He then rolled back over and threw the covers over his head.

Say a prayer for me. It's gonna be a long day.

Quick Road Trip

Jack and I went on little road trip to Las Vegas a week or so ago. *Sam and Anya-sorry we didn't get to see you this trip. We were only there for 2 full days. We will for sure see you next time.* We went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Jack is still talking about the sharks.

This is Jack and Gracie aka Traci. Yeah yeah, I don't want to hear it. I'm not going to lie, it was funny when he would yell, "Traci! No poopin on the floor. You in big trouble, Traci!" He took "Traci" on a lot of walks. He just loves her.

Just one of "those" days...

I heard this song a couple days ago. I like it. A lot.

Yesterday
When you drove away
I felt my heart break
As I waved
I concentrated
On my precious pain

My sadness is sweet
A love so deep
It broke clean in two
A piece for me
A piece for you

It can be
Your good luck charm
A talisman
From fear and harm
It will keep you
Safe and warm
Till you're in my arms

My sadness is sweet
A love so deep
It broke clean in two
A piece for me
A piece for you

Yours is broken too, I see
Just before you had to leave
You left half of yours for me
Now both our hearts complete

My sadness is sweet
A love so deep
It broke clean in two
A piece for me
A piece for you

I'm too lazy to download all my pictures right now. I will soon. I promise.

Today, Jack and I met up with Libby and Reiss at the library. They have a story time with Mother Goose. She is the cutest little lady ever. She wears an old dress with an apron and a h.u.g.e hat. The boys loved it. They even had a craft for them to do at the end. It was a hit. We are going back every week.

In The Last 5 Minutes...

Jack has managed to have me on the floor laughing. I have been working with Jack on girls/boys and him/her. He thinks everyone is a big boy.

Today he runs in my room telling me he needs to show me something. I followed him into his room where he showed me a toy that he fixed.

Jack: Wook, mom! I did it!
Me: Oh, Jack, I'm so proud of you.You are getting so big!
Jack: I grow up mom!!
Me: No more getting big!!
Jack: I a big boy, mom!
Me: Yes, you are.
Jack: You a gurl, mom. I a big boy.
Me: That's right, buddy.
Jack: Jegus (Jesus) a big boy. Daddy a gurl.
Me: Uh, well that's funny you called daddy a girl. But, he is a boy.
Jack: Oh, okay.

A couple minutes later he comes running in again.

"Mom!!! You help me, mom? I got worm (boogey) trapped in my nose tunnel."

Jack, thank you for never letting me have a dull moment.
