Ready For School

Jack informed me this morning that he was going to school. He brought me his "packpack" filled with all this stuffed puppies...all named George. I helped him put it on and then he brought me his shoes and said he was ready. On our way out the door he ran back to get his hat.

Early Memorial Day

Since we won't be here Memorial weekend we decided to take flowers out to Danny yesterday. No pictures of Jack. Sorry. The sprinklers were on and little boy decided to shove his foot in the vase on someone's stone. His leg was covered in stinky old grass and green colored water. That was fun to clean up.

Little Chef

I let Jack make dinner the other night. We had dough and piles of cheese.
Love you, Jack!

Jack is Three!!

Jack is officially 3 years old. I didn't think I would have such a hard time with his birthday. It's been rough. I don't want my little boy to grow up. It's happening so fast. He is so stinkin cute! On his birthday we met Libby and Reiss at the park. The two of them went wild. We had pizza for lunch...one of Jack's favorite things to eat. Later that night, we had cake with his cousins. It was a busy day.

My Little Man

Proof that he is my son...literally dove into the cake. Love him!

Dear Jack

Happy Birthday!

I thought we talked about it and decided that you weren't going to grow up anymore. Little stinker! You are growing up too fast. Stop it!

You mean the world to me, little boy. There hasn't been a day that's gone by that you haven't made me laugh. In fact, you just walked in and asked me to clean up the pee pee. Yes, you peed all over the floor. BUT, you did it all by yourself. You didn't even come tell me you needed to go potty. You know all your shapes and colors. You have an amazing memory and you tell me everyday you want to go to school. You call every dog you see "George!" Except, for the neighbors dog. You call her Bolly. Whenever you've done something you shouldn't have you look at me and ask "Mommy, will you huggle me?" It's gotten you out of time out a time or two. If I ask you to do something and you're not wanting to you kindly say, "Oh, I sorry, mom. My legs aren't working right now. Later, okay?"

Jack, you came into my life when I needed you the most. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to discover the world all over again through your eyes. You love adventures. You never sit still . You make me a better person everyday. Thank you for being you. You are my best friend, Jack. I love you to the moon and back. Love, Mommy

And That's How Babies Are Made

Caden has got to be one of the funniest kids I know. Oh, the stories I could tell. But, I'll just tell one. The other day we were on our way home from running errands. I asked Caden to keep talking to Jack because I didn't want him to fall asleep. It was way too late for him to take a nap. The next thing I know he's telling Jack where babies come from. I learned a little something too.
From Caden
Jack, seeds are put into mommy tummy's. Daddy tummy's don't work. So, the seeds go in the mommy tummy and then they hatch in 8, 9 or maybe 10 months. Then the baby comes out. See Jack? That's how mommy's have babies.

Tell Me It Ain't So!!

No way can this little guy be turning 3 on Thursday!
It freaks me out.

A Little Pre-Birthday Action

We had some family in town this past weekend so we had them over for some race car cake. The only thing Jack wanted for his birthday was a race car cake. He kept asking me "Mom, is the lady making my cake? Mom, my cake done yet?" He was so excited when he saw it.

What Do You Think...

was he trying to tell me something?

Reiss is known for his silly expressions. I thought he was just being funny cause I was taking pictures. Next time I will know that this is his potty dance.

Strangers In The Night

Happy May Day
It's always been a tradition in our family to make May Day baskets for our neighbors. It was one of my favorite things to do. I thought it was so fun to sneak up on their porch and leave them a surprise without getting caught. I started this tradition with Jack this year. He thought it was so fun. He was in charge of filling the baskets with candy. I love watching him get so excited.

Here is Jack getting ready to make his first delivery. He had me cracking up! He rang the doorbell a million times so we had to sprint home. I was in sandals trying to run while carrying Jack and my camera. I'm sure it was quite a sight. When we got back home Jack says, "that was close, mom!" Ya think?!
