Oh. My. Gosh.

Jack comes running into my room with something in his hand.

Jack: Mommy, I poot.
Me: Uh, what's in your hand?
Jack: Mommy, I poot.
Me: Sick! Jack, next time you poot, tell me. Do Not go digging for it!!

Sheesh, I swear I washed his hands like a gazillion times.
This is Jack.
He is just a little excited to play in the snow.

Nascar Jack

I've mentioned before Jack's love for "racers." For Christmas I got him a race car helmet that has a microphone and comes with a steering wheel. I could have just gotten that for him and he would have been fine. It's hilarious to watch him with that thing. He'll run up to me and yell, "Pit Stop!"

He is constantly saying, "No no no no no...no tires-Just gas." Lightening McQueen

Christmas Morning

We got up early to start the day. Actually, I got up early. I had to wake up Jack. I was the one who was so excited. I had been looking forward to seeing his reactions to his presents. I couldn't wait any longer.
My sister and her family came over for breakfast. We had Santa pancakes. The whipped cream was a hit. I don't think Jack took one bite of his pancake.

The Night Before Christmas

Jack and I had fun on Christmas Eve. It was just the two of us and we played all day long. All. Day. Long.

We made cookies for Santa. Jack loves turning on the mixer. Full Blast. The entire time it's mixing Jack is yelling, "Faster! Faster!"

Little Stinker kept eating the cookies off the plate.
Jack's new favorite book.
He tried waiting up for Santa.

Christmas Eve

It's a Norwegian tradition to take a wreath out to the graves of your loved ones on Christmas Eve and to light candles. Since we were there during the day we didn't do the candles. But, I think it will be a fun tradition for Jack and I to do together. Danny served his mission in Norway and I have heard many stories of his time there. We also took some presents to Danny. If you knew Danny, you know that everything has to be nice and perfect. He liked to turn heads. I think his stone will catch the eyes of many.

Mystery Angels

Today, Jack and I went on a little drive. He has been sick the past couple days and just wanted to get out. When we came back home I noticed a basket on our front porch. I brought it inside and Jack and I had so much fun going through it. It was packed with goodies. Jack kept telling me, "it's not your fish, momma. it jack's fish." I'm not sure who left this gift for me and Jack. But, I know you're out there somewhere. I want you to know how grateful I am and what a blessing it is to have someone so thoughtful as you as my friend. Thank you again for lifting my spirits and brightening my day. I hope you have many blessings this season. Thank you so much for blessing me and my son. It's comforting to know that there are people out there who are always watching out for others.

The Grinch Stole Danny's Christmas Tree

Yes, it's true. Someone stole Danny's Christmas tree. Who does that? What I think is the worst part is that they stole a gift his little boy got him. Jack was so proud of that tree. He knew on the way out there that we were going to put up daddy's Christmas tree. He helped decorate it and sang Jingle Bells. He loved it. It's something special he could do for his dad. I hope that whoever took it slipped on ice on their way back to their car. And I hope their butt hurts. Real bad too!

Pooped

I Love...

that Jack can put on his own snow boots. Makes getting ready so much easier. Plus, he is so proud of himself that he can do it. He is growing up too fast.

Christmas Cards

I mailed out our Christmas cards this week. If you don't get one, it's either because a) I don't like you. I'm kidding...kind of. Or b) I didn't have your address. Most likely it was the later. So, don't get all worked up. Here is a little Christmas picture to brighten your day. We hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!!

Visitors

Nana and Papa came last weekend and we had so much fun. We love when they come...because our fridge is always full when they leave. They're good people. We spent all day Saturday running errands. On Sunday, my sister gave a talk and I was so excited to listen to her. I really was. But, 30 seconds after I took off my coat this kid sneezed and literally sprayed my back and hair with snot. I wanted to vomit! However, I didn't want to embarrass the kid, so I didn't move a muscle. Although, my stomach was doing circles. So, even though I didn't get to hear every word of my sisters talk, I know it was good. Why? Because I helped her write it. No, not really. But, I was her pretend audience the night before. Oh, and how can I forget, Santa came to visit on Saturday. No joke. Jack wasn't excited. But, I was. I love Santa!

Gawk's Birthday!

Uncle Gawk's (scott) birthday was last week so I let him take us out to dinner...and pay too. I mean, what was I supposed to do? It was his birthday. He wanted to be in charge. We also went to Temple Square. It was cold, but we had fun. Jack loved the lights.

This is Scott after he found out I told the waiter it was his birthday.
This is Scott after we sang to him. You know he liked it!

This is us freezing our buns off.

This is us getting warm. He is a great snuggler.

The Adventures of Jack and Reiss

These two are the Best of Friends and the Worst of Enemies. When they are the best of friends they are usually up to no good.

The other day when I went to check on them I found them here. I asked what they were doing. Reiss said, "swimming." Luckily, they didn't turn the water on.

The two of them thought they were underwear super-heroes. (they were clean, I made sure) I couldn't get a picture of Reiss. He moves too fast.

I Love My Jack

I love how his "racers" have to be organized.

But, this doesn't bother him.

Not The Best Idea

I thought it would be fun for Jack and I to decorate a gingerbread house. My mom says I'm brave. I say I'm stupid. If you look at the first picture, there are tiny little balls on the table. The ended up all over the floor. That was fun to pick up. It was too much of a mess that we didn't finish it. But, Jack had fun and he's so proud of the house he built!
