yesterday...

jack came out of the bathroom with a long piece of toilet paper trailing from his bum

"mommy! look i got a ponytail!"

the other day was big one for jack

nate took off his training wheels

*pretty sure i was more excited than he was

he did it on the second try
he is so cool
he did not like falling off...it was quite dramatic

this was actually pretty funny

jack didn't want to get back on his bike

he was done trying

but nate talked to him and jack ended up giving it one more try

he got back on and did pretty good until he realized nate let go of his seat
then in slow motion jack stood up and jumped off the bike

i laughed

jack is funny

i bought jackers a new suit for church several weeks ago. i was kind of saving it for easter sunday but decided to let him give it a test run last sunday. the jacket apparently itched him. figures. but, he was so excited when i put the tie on him.

jack: i'm a guy now, mom?!?!

me: yeah, you're a guy! neat huh?!

jack: yeah, i'm almost a daddy.

me: uh no, no you're not. that will be a while.

jack: oh but i'm a guy!

he looks so big in this picture. i can't believe he is almost four.

nate went home today

and

jackers and i miss him

as i was trying to get jack to go to sleep tonight he told me he needed to talk to nate for just a moment (moment-it's the word of the week)

i let him call his buddy

jack: nate, you know i love you. i miss you.

i can't possibly describe how happy it makes me to hear him say that to nate.

so i know i have been missing in action for the past little while

don't blame me

blame him

the rumors are true, people.

would love to share the details with you. but, i'm not going to.

i think he's great

he's really good at scrabble

jack wants to stay with him forever

and so do i

we went to dave and busters for dinner and jack kept calling it nate and monsters

jack loved the dinosaur game...he can and will give you the play by play of the entire game

christmas 2009

whew! so glad christmas is over! it's always fun to decorate. but, it's more fun to take it down. the only sad thing is that our house is bare now. it was fun while it lasted, though.

jack struggled with the ribbons

nana and papa surprised us on christmas eve. it was so good to have them there with us. thanks mom and dad!!

jack got "gums" for christmas. it was hilarious. he pulled them out of his holster and tried to flip them around on his fingers. no clue where he got the idea to do that...we don't watch a lot of westerns at our place.

what FREAKS me out...

is that when i see danny again, he's going to look like this and i'm going to look like....

sure, he's a stink pot quite a bit

tonight when he realized there weren't any presents under the tree for me

he was sad.

"gasp! mom you don't have any presents under the tree. i forgot to get you something!"

"it's okay, jack! all i want for christmas is you!!"

"mommy, you been a good girl. you need a present! i will get one for you."

a little bit later he comes out of his room

with the proudest grin on his face

he wrapped me a present

i can't wait until christmas to open it
